The total population of Escorial sheep in the world is 46,000, compared to 40 million merino sheep in Australia alone. Less than 5% of the annual clip of these Escorial sheep contains the rare brown fibres which are used to weave this series of undyed, naturally brown wools that are woven in Huddersfield, England.

We’re told it took a long time to keep sufficient yarns for this special range of undyed fabrics, and it’s unlikely to be rewoven in the near future. 

This lightly lined bow tie comes in a classic chocolate brown herringbone design and works extraordinarily well with grey or navy coats. Escorial wools are known for their cashmere-softness owing to their long, fine fibres, and superior drape and resilience thanks to their naturally highly crimped yarns - all adding up to quite an exquisite bow tie.

* As the fabric is textured, which makes the tying process challenging, this calls for an experienced bow tie wearer.
